Population decreased for the first time in South Korea: more deaths from birth and faster aging population increased concern
Unlike countries like India and China, South Korea is worried about the dwindling population. For the first time in the history of Dakshina Korea, the country's population declined this year. There have been more deaths from birth in the year 2020. South Korea is already the country with the lowest birth rate in the world.
According to the latest released figures, the country's population was 51,829,023 at the end of December. This is 20,838 less than last year. In the year 2020, only 275,800 children have been born here. This is 10 percent less than the year 2019. At the same time, about 307,764 people died in South Korea last year. The country's population had been increasing year after year for several decades but the growth rate is decreasing. The growth rate in the year 2010 was 1.49% which decreased to 0.05% by 2019. In 2019, the birth rate in South Korea was just 0.92.
The current data has once again forced South Korea to think over its policies. The country's Ministry of Home Affairs has called for 'fundamental changes' in its policies in view of this. The declining population as well as the aging population is a concern for Asia's fourth major economy. At present, the number of 60-year-old people has increased to 24 percent of the total population.
There is increasing pressure to spend more revenue on health services and pensions due to the increasing population with increasing age. At the same time, due to the decreasing population of youth, there is a shortage of workers in the country. In South Korea, women on a large scale struggle to strike a balance between work and other necessities of life. So she is avoiding B from having children and getting married.
675 Euro help the child born from the year 2022

Under this scheme, an amount of 10 lakh Won (South Korean currency) (675 Euros i.e. 67 thousand Indian rupees) will be given to the mother on every child born from 2022. In addition, up to the age of one year, three lakh Von will be given per month. From the year 2025 this amount will be increased to five lakh won.
